Genesis

As suggested by our name, PAHAL, it is an initiative to help underprivileged and deprived section of the society to secure a respectable and dignified place in the mainstream. We believe that there is a need to build a sustainable process and therefore have focused on building the capacity of CBOs- Community Based Organisations.

PAHAL has extended the reach of its poverty eradication efforts through strategic partnerships with other donors, governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations working with the poor at the grass roots level. Such partnerships are built on cross fertilization of ideas and approaches, taking into account the programs and efforts of other donors. The PAHAL catalytic role also implies facilitating the replication and scaling up of national and local initiatives, as well as influencing policy and practices in favor of the poor.
